Obituary – Rosemary Brangwin

Apr 24, 2026

It is with great fondness and respect that we celebrate the life of our dear friend, Rosemary Brangwin, who passed away this past Monday.

Our families have been close for many years, and our lives were woven together by so many wonderful common interests. While we spent countless happy hours together on and around the Pier and Penpolion, our bond ran much deeper than the water and as a family we shared a special connection through the world of dance. Over the years, we navigated the disciplines of ballet, modern, and tap together, creating a unique and lasting friendship that spanned both the dance floor and the sailing deck.

Rosemary was a truly remarkable woman with a vibrant, infectious spirit. At the club, she was the absolute heartbeat of our community, serving with distinction as a Past Commodore, a long-serving Sailing Secretary, and a dedicated Dinghy Instructor. She taught so many of us and our children to sail with patience and a constant smile, leaving a legacy that will forever remain a cherished part of our club’s fabric.

We also want to acknowledge the incredible devotion shown by her family. Steph, Jo, and Nick did a wonderful job of caring for her, ensuring that Rosemary was surrounded by love, comfort, and dignity at her home in Sutton Coldfield throughout these past years.

We are sending all our love to Steph, Jo, and Nick, as well as her many grandchildren. We are thinking of you all and celebrating the wonderful legacy Rosemary leaves behind, a life lived with grace and joy.

With heartfelt condolences.
