Club Manager (Bar Operations)

We are offering an exciting and unique opportunity for an ambitious and entrepreneurial Club Manager to take the reins of our Club Bar and Events facility (Crows Nest) and run them with real autonomy, supported by the strategic direction of the Club’s Directors.
This role is ideal for an individual or couple who want to grow a bar and catering business, take ownership of performance and profit, and build a welcoming, profitable social hub for our members and guests.
Location: New Quay Yacht Club, New Quay, Ceredigion
Contract: Full-time employed role with performance-related bonuses
Salary: £23,400 basic pay (for a minimum of 1,560 hours) plus significant bonus and profit-share potential
About the Role
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and motivated Club Manager, or Management Couple, to run our bar and event facilities operation in a franchise-style model under the strategic direction of the Club Directors.
This is a rare opportunity for someone who wants genuine autonomy, the chance to shape a venue, and the ability to earn well above basic salary through performance-related pay.
What You’ll Do
- Run the Club Bar as a commercial operation
- Drive revenue, footfall, and atmosphere
- Recruit and manage part-time bar staff
- Plan and deliver events, promotions, and catering activities
- Shape the look, feel, and layout of the bar
- Work closely with the Directors on strategy and performance
What You’ll Earn
- £23,400 basic salary, paid monthly
- Quarterly bonuses
- Revenue share for overperformance against targets on manager-led bar and catering events
- £3,000 annual staffing budget provided by the Club
- 20 days’ paid annual leave
- Pension contributions
Who We’re Looking For
- An engaging personality
- Commercially minded and self-motivated
- Strong bar or hospitality management experience
- Comfortable managing staff and budgets
- Creative, energetic, and community-focused
- Holds a Personal Alcohol Licence (or willing to obtain one within three months)
- Available to commence work from 1 May 2026
